Preserving income in the event of injury, illness or loss of life is critical, and these programs offered through Mutual of Omaha help employees and their families cover their needs when the unexpected happens.
This supplemental insurance program allows employees to defray much of the cost of contact lenses, glasses and frames once every 12 months.
During those times when you don’t know quite where to turn for help, BAO’s Employee Assistance Plan offers confidential referrals for counseling, legal advice, financial planning and other resources.
To help with out-of-pocket expenses for medical, dental and child care, BAO offers an FSA that enables employees to put aside $2,500 per year for medical and dental expenses and $5,000 per year for child care on a pre-tax basis.
BAO offers a 401(k) and Roth 401(k) with 33 fund options through Nationwide Financial.
BAO believes that employees should have opportunities to enjoy time away from work to help with a healthy work-life balance. As we recognize that employees have diverse needs for time off from work, BAO has established its paid time off (PTO) policy to meet those needs. The benefit of PTO is that it promotes flexibility in how individuals choose to use their time off. In their first year with BAO, employees earn up to 15 PTO days. In year two, this increases to 17 PTO days, and in year three, the total number of PTO days is 20. PTO days are in addition to the 10 paid holidays BAO observes throughout the year.
